The Emir of Lafia and Chairman, Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Isah Mustapha-Agwai 1, has commended the Inspector-General of Police, (IGP), Ibrahim Idris for reducing crime in the country.
The emir stated this when Deputy Inspector-General of Police, (DIG), in charge of Finance and Administration Shuaibu Lawal Gambo, paid him a courtesy visit in his palace. Gambo was in the state as part of sensitization tour of the North-Central zone.
He said since the appointment Idris, there was a drop in criminal activities.
DIG Gambo underscored the role of traditional institutions in complementing the effort of security operatives in checkmating criminal activities.
