The Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Kpotun-Idris, has again promised Nigerians that the officers and men of the force were fully committed to ensuring the safety of lives and properties of Nigerians anywhere they are domiciled in the country.
The IGP spoke on Saturday in Numan, Adamawa State when he visited the Hamman Bachama, Mr Stephen Honest-Kirimiya, sequel to the recent Farmers, herdsmen class in the area.
The police boss also said that the Nigeria police was deeply concerned with the recent treat which were threatening the security of lives and properties in Nigeria.
According to him, "the Nigeria police was on top of the situation and would not waiver in discharging its constitutional duty to safeguard the lives and properties of Nigerians, just he called on Nigerians to continue to be law abiding".
"Any law abiding Nigeria, group or community as no any problem with the Nigeria police, but any trouble maker will not find it easy with us", Idris added.
" The officers and men of the force will continue to be patriotic, diligent and committed to safe guiding the peace and unity of the country, but will come hard on any person or group of persons trying to perpetrate any heinous crime that will treating the stability in Nigeria.
"We are also fully committed to partnering with the traditional institutions to further ensure the sustainable unity, progress and socio economic prosperity of Nigeria.
In his remarks, the Hamma Bachama of Numan, Adamawa State, Mr Honest Irimiya-Stephen commended the IGP for the visit, saying that it was a demonstration of his concern for peace and unity of the country.
" I have noticed in you a zeal that you are totally committed to ensuring the protection of lives and properties of Nigeria".
The traditional ruler also appealed to the police boss to reinstate the Area Command in his domain which will make quick rapid respond in case of emergency.
