IGP APPROVES THE CREATION OF A NEW POLICE AREA COMMAND AND TWO (2) DIVISIONAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS IN BIRNIN-GWARI LGA OF KADUNA STATE.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, has ordered the immediate deployment of Two Hundred (200) Police Personnel and Ten (10) patrol vehicles to beef-up security in Birnin-Gwari, Kaduna State to Zamfara to flush out armed bandits in the area.
In a statement in Abuja signed by Force Spokesperson, ACP Jimoh Moshood, The nation's no 1 super cop, Ibrahim Idris made this disclosure during a Town Hall meeting with stakeholders in Birnin-Gwari Town. The IGP arrives Birnin gwari with the GOC 1 Mechanized Division, Major General Mohammed Mohammed, to assess the security needs of the people in view of the consistent attacks by armed bandits in the area. He had earlier paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Alhaji Jibrin
IGP Ibrahim Idris in addition, approves the creation of a new Area Command and two additional Divisional Police Headquarters in Birnin Gwari LGA, Kaduna State and deployment of Ten (10) patrol vehicles to enhance the capacity of the personnel of the Force in crime prevention and control in the area and curtail the security challenges currently being witnessed in Birnin-Gwari LGA of Kaduna State.
He further reassures the communities in Birnin Gwari LGA of the renewed commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to reduce violent crimes in the area to the barest, and ensure the utmost safety of lives and property of the people residing in the Area, the statement concluded.
